Looking for BI-LINGUAL therapists who have at least a Masters Degree.  We will be interviewing for bi-lingual clinicians who want to be part of our clinical treatment team, including work at schools and in clinic.  As an Agency we believe that healthy families are the way to healthy children, and we support services to the family as a whole.

*POSTGRADUATE CLINICAL RESIDENT

Qualifications:  This position is a training level classification requiring demonstrated entry-level competence and requiring the ability to make independent decisions, under the supervision of a licensed practitioner of the healing arts, regarding the care and treatment of seriously mentally ill individuals. The ability to work successfully as a team member, remain cordial, and maintain a professional attitude at all times is a requirement for employment at West End Family Counseling Services.

Masters or Doctoral Degree from fully accredited, university-affiliated program in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology, Counseling or related field. Supervised experience providing comprehensive mental health services for children, families and/or adults. Registration with the State of California to accumulate hours toward licensure in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage Family and Child Counselor, and/or Licensed Clinical Psychologist.

Duties:  Under the direction of the Assistant Director or other licensed supervisor, provide a broad range of out-patient mental health services including: group and individual counseling, case management, assessment, information and referral, charting and documentation, inter-agency communication, staff consultation, interdisciplinary team treatment planning, field services, and other related professional duties within the context of a multi-program community mental health center. This position requires sitting for extended periods and hand writing documentation into charts.

Hours per Week:    8 to 32 (This is a part time hourly renewable temporary appointment non-exempt position)

Renewable temporary appointment employees are hired for a maximum of one calendar year, subject to renewal, and are paid for hours worked, excluding hours spent in Agency-provided clinical supervision and training. There is no fee or other charge for Agency-provided training or supervision. Renewable temporary appointment employees are not eligible to participate in the Agency’s benefits program. All Postgraduate Resident employees are responsible for maintaining required records of hours for licensure or certification and are responsible for obtaining all required supervisor signatures prior to their separation from employment at the Agency. The Agency assumes no responsibility for documentation of hours for purposes of licensure or certification after the termination of employment at the Agency. All Postgraduate Resident employees are responsible for maintaining any required registration with appropriate State licensing boards and must provide the Agency with proof of required registration at the time of employment.

Weeks per Year:                            26 to 48

 


*CLINICAL INTERN
 

Salary Schedule:   $8.00 per hour
                           $9.00 per hour bi-lingual (Spanish)

Qualifications:  This position is a training level classification requiring entry-level understanding of basic human psychology. Current enrollment in a fully accredited, university-affiliated masters or doctoral program in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology, Counseling or related field. Under the supervision of a licensed practitioner of the healing arts, the ability to develop therapeutic relationships with seriously mentally ill individuals. The ability to work successfully as a team member, remain cordial, and maintain a professional attitude at all times is a requirement for employment at West End Family Counseling Services.

All Intern employees are responsible for maintaining any required registration with appropriate State licensing boards and must provide the Agency with proof of required registration at the time of employment.
